Welcome back to a new term and a new year. We hope you all enjoyed a magical time with family over the Christmas break
As we start the new year, everyone here at PATCH would like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us over the past term. With your support we have managed to raise a phenomenal amount of money for our schools, far surpassing our expectations. Without your continued support, none of it would be possible and we are so grateful to each and every one of you.
What can we say? Last term was certainly a busy one for all of us over here at PATCH HQ, but we had a lot of fun and we could never get tired of seeing all the happy, smiling faces.
Did you make it to one of our events?
Last year, we hosted our very own Grotto for the first time and it was a resounding success, with tickets selling out well in advance of the event... after all, it's not every day Santa and a team of elves come to school. We were so happy to hear all the positive feedback and see so many happy and smiling children.
Our local police officers checking they're on the nice list.
Our Christmas fayre was a magical event, not to be missed. A huge thank you of course goes out to all the wonderful staff, parents, children and friends of the school's who gave up their weekend to make it all possible, and to everyone who booked a stall or came along to visit.
A real life unicorn came to visit!
And our amazing choir performed beautifully.
We also had two Elfridges shops. Here at PATCH we truly believe there is nothing more special than a gift that has been chosen with care by someone special. It is always a pleasure to help the children shop for their loved ones. They always put so much thought and care into every gift they pick and wrap with the help of our volunteers. We hope you all enjoyed opening your gifts as much as the children did buying them for you.
And let's not forget our long awaited disco at the Junior school. The children has patiently waited for this disco following the school closures which cancelled their Halloween disco. This time, it was an elf takeover as the elves invited children to join them for their Elfridges after party.
With the fantastic Bart's Disco on the decks, the music played and the children all danced the night away with their friends.
Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who gave up their time to help at both Elfridges shops and the disco.
All PATCH events are entirely run and organised by volunteers and we are extremely grateful to everyone who gets involved in any way.
So, with a Christmas fayre, Grotto, 2 Elfridges and a disco under our belts (we said it had been a busy half term!) we wrapped up the year.
We are now back for a new year with lots fun things planned for the coming months. If you are interested in getting involved we would love to hear from you.
Keep a look out for blog posts, and letters coming home by email and see-saw! We have so much coming up we could almost burst with excitement.
